Phonejoy: Brand Identity Development

Created for gamers: Our eclectic brand identity powers up the startup's awarded portable gaming controller

First of its kind, Phonejoy’s portable game controller amazed the crowds when it initially showed its expandable mechanism ‘squeezing’ almost any smart phone inbetween its 2 controller grips. Envary teamed up with the awarded hardware start-up building their brand on a playful visual theme that could resonate with casual as well as pro gamers. Besides a proper logo for their product, website and apps, other collaterals such as pre-sale materials, point-of-sales display and branded contents were needed as well. Busy shaping its product+app ecosystem into a working prototype the team additionally required us to assist their product presentations and kickstarter campaign.

What we didCollaborating with its founders and core crew we pushed the brand+product identity into vibrantly fun gaming territory, particularly using bold typography, green glowing colors and catchy cartoon visuals. In consideration of their already known ape mascot we developed their graphic identity to memorably make an impression, yet also being useful in presales and product marketing activities. Our work included creative direction, art direction, design, coordination of freelancers and liaison with printing houses as well as packaging design manufacturers.
